The AIVP agenda 2030 will be discussed in the next world urban forum from the united nations
UN selected AIVP's application for a session among several hundreds, to debate about the port-city relationship in the coming World Urban Forum, to be hosted in Abu Dhabi.
The session will take place on Monday 10th of February, between 9:00 and 10:00, in the section Voices from Cities.

The AIVP 2030 Agenda presented to French government ministers
A meeting between AIVP and the French interministerial group on sustainable development took place on 14 November 2019, providing an opportunity to promote the AIVP 2030 Agenda with French government departments.

AIVP will collaborate with the news website Portal Portuario. The news outlet, specialized in ports and maritime sector, will publish a series of articles about the examples AIVP selected for each ones of the goals of the Agenda. The first article was published in December and it will followed by other four exploring more in detail the different cases.

Riga, 7 June 2019 - The Worldwide Network of Port Cities (AIVP), which brings together 1,900 people from the private and public sectors across all continents, has signed the 10 commitments that make up its 2030 Agenda. As the only international network working on urban and economic development and reducing the environmental impact of port cities, AIVP will thus contribute to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.

In an interview with PortalPortuario.cl, Olivier Lemaire, general director of the AIVP, said that "in Riga we are going to present the New Agenda 2030 of the AIVP that was presented at the conference in Quebec, for which - on this occasion - we are going to show the new signed version, so the entire conference will revolve around the themes of this agenda.”
PORT STAKEHOLDERS STEP UP TO 2030 CHALLENGE
The organisation behind an ambitious global initiative to implement major environmental changes to achieve sustainability in port cities by 2030 faces one of its biggest challenges this year in co-ordinating how its many diverse participants can achieve change.
